Introduction:  

Liu Junfang is a inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage of Shu embroidery and a master artisan. With 20 years of experience in Shu embroidery, she has mastered its intricate needlework techniques and dedicated herself to the development and innovation of Shu embroidery culture. Leveraging the flexibility and adaptability of Shu embroidery, she combines traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques. Her high-end custom works primarily focus on restoring traditional attire, while also incorporating Shu embroidery elements into everyday items such as bookmarks, masks, scarves, leather bags, and notebooks, bringing this ancient art into contemporary life. Her high-end embroidered pieces are not only sold domestically but also exported to countries like the United States, the United Kingdom, Hungary, and Switzerland.  

In October 2019, as the only Shu embroidery inheritor, she participated in the "Cultural China · Splendid Sichuan" event hosted by the Sichuan Provincial Government at the Palais des Nations in Geneva (Europe), the headquarters of the United Nations. Representing Shu embroidery, she promoted Chengdu’s urban image and cultural charm to the world, earning widespread acclaim from Western audiences. The State Council Information Office specially released related news, recognizing her contributions to cultural exchange and friendship between China and the world.  

Over her nearly two decades in Shu embroidery, Liu Junfang has provided employment opportunities for dozens of embroiderers, enabling them to work from home while balancing family responsibilities and income. To further promote Shu embroidery, she has visited communities, enterprises, schools, and military units, introducing Shu embroidery culture to thousands of people of all ages, making significant contributions to its dissemination.

- 2015: Named Outstanding Inheritor of the Third Sichuan Folk Art (Embroidery Craft).  

- 2017: Won the First Sichuan Rural Handicraft Excellence Award.  

- 2018: Awarded the title of Rural Handicraft Master.  

  - In July, her work "Lotus and Koi" was honored as "Soldiers' Favorite Artwork" during the celebration of the 91st anniversary of the PLA.  

  - In October, she was recognized as the Second "Zhuojin Craftsman" by the Jinjiang District Trade Union.  

  - On November 20, she participated in the "Chengdu" themed promotion event in Frankfurt, Germany.  

- 2019:  

  - In May, received the Golden Rose International (China) Outstanding Women Award.  

  - Her Junfang Arts and Crafts Store won the Golden Rose International (China) Intangible Cultural Heritage Art Inheritance Award.  

  - In September, participated in the "Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of New China" event; her work "Panda" won the "Soldiers' Favorite Artwork Award" from PLA Unit 95607.  

  - In October, showcased Shu embroidery at the "Cultural China · Splendid Sichuan" event in Geneva, earning high praise from international guests and media coverage.  

- 2020:  

  - Won third prize in the Tianfu Wangjiang Bamboo Culture Creative Design Competition for her embroidery piece "Treasures of Sichuan: Panda Admiring Bamboo."  

  - Her "Shu Embroidery Hairpin and Earrings" received the Excellence Award in the "Wenchang Cup" Cross-Strait Youth Bashu Cultural Creative Design Competition.  

  - Successfully registered the "Junfang Embroidery Art" trademark.  

  - Awarded the "Chuangke Yongxing Talent" prize by the Yongxing Small Business Joint Union.  

- 2021:  

  - Honored as an Outstanding Inheritor of Bamboo Culture at the 24th Chengdu Bamboo Culture Festival and the 4th Tianfu (Wangjiang) International Bamboo Industry Forum.  

  - Won gold for her original Shu embroidery piece "Love Chengdu, Welcome the Universiade" at the PLA Unit 95616's "Stay True to the Mission" celebration of the 94th PLA anniversary.  

- 2023:  

  - Featured in the Universiade promotional video, broadcast globally during the games.  

  - In October, won the Best Craftsmanship Award and Most Beloved Intangible Cultural Heritage Work Award at the 8th International Intangible Cultural Heritage Festival.  

  - Her "Lotus and Koi" and "Love Chengdu, Welcome the Universiade" panda series received Excellence in Exhibition and Performance Awards.  

  - Completed professional training programs under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Sichuan Training Base and Sichuan University’s Chengdu Literary Federation Specialized Training.
