Arrive in Lhasa, capital of the mystical Tibet.
Met at the airport or train station with Tibetan Traditional Hada as welcome ceremony. Then transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day will be at leisure.
Note: Today is very important to acclimate the high altitude. You are suggested to drink more water which will help to acclimate the high altitude. Please do not do much exercise or activities and do not smoke and drink alcohol.
Today's Attractions:Potala Palace/ Sera Monastery/Tibet Museum
Your first visit is Potala Palace, built in the 7th century by the famous Tibetan King-Songtzen Gampo. It has known as the "Winter Palace" by 1750, when the 7th Dalai Lama built the Norbulingka Park as his summer residence.
After lunch, you will visit the Sera Monastery, famous for its Buddhism scriptures debating in the afternoon. Your progames might be finished after the visit to Tibetan Museum, the exhibition center of Tibetan traditional handicrafts.
Note:There is a restriction of 2000 tourists everyday for the protection of Potala Palace and only one-hour- visit for each tourist. We may converse the tour as Jokhang Temple first in the morning and Potala Palace in the afternoon or may change the schedule with Day 3 in the high season (From April to October)in Tibet.
Today's Sightseeing:Drepung Monastery/ Barkhor Street
Your tour today starts with the visit of Drepung Monastery. It used to be the most largest Monastery in Tibet lodged more than 10000 monks at its summit. In the afternoon visit Jokhang Temple, which lies in the old section of Lhasa. King Songtzen Gampo built this temple in the mid-7th century A.D. Now it is the most sacred hub for pilgrims circling and worshiping the Temple.
Another MUST is to ramble over the Barkhore Street with pilgrims. A experience you can not miss.
Today's Sightseeing:Namtso Lake
Day tour to Namtso Lake via Yangpachen hot-spring. Then drive back to Lhasa.
