Morning: Panda Base Volunteer Experience

7:00-7:30 Hotel Pickup

· Your driver and guide will pick you up from your hotel in downtown Chengdu

· Have your passport/ID ready and wear clothing and shoes suitable for physical work

9:00-10:30 Arrive at Panda Base & Begin Volunteer Work

· Approximately 1.5-hour drive from Chengdu to the panda base

· Registration, safety briefing, and receiving volunteer uniforms and gloves

· Volunteer Activities:

· Clean panda enclosures under keeper guidance

· Prepare fresh bamboo by breaking and washing

· Add fresh bamboo to panda activity areas

10:30-12:00 Continue Volunteer Activities & Base Tour

· Watch Panda Documentary: Learn about panda conservation efforts and achievements

· Make Panda Cakes: Learn to prepare special food for pandas under professional guidance

· Base Tour: Explore the base with keepers and learn about different pandas' habits and stories

Noon: Lunch & Break

12:00-13:00 Lunch Break

· Enjoy lunch at the staff canteen within the panda base

· Experience the daily meals of panda keepers

· Rest and prepare for the afternoon itinerary

13:00-13:30 Complete Volunteer Work & Receive Certificate

· Receive an official "Giant Panda Conservation Honorary Certificate"

· Take photos and return uniforms and equipment

· Prepare to transfer to Dujiangyan

Afternoon: Dujiangyan Irrigation System Exploration

14:00-16:00 

Dujiangyan Irrigation System Tour

· Approximately 30-minute drive from panda base to Dujiangyan

· Dujiangyan is the world's oldest unmanned hydraulic system, built around 256 BC

Key Sites to Visit:

· Yuzui Water-Dividing Dam: Cleverly divides the Minjiang River into inner and outer streams

· Feishayan Spillway: Uses centrifugal force to discharge sediment and prevent silting

· Baopingkou Diversion Passage: The "throat" that controls water flow to the Chengdu Plain

 · Anlan Suspension Bridge: Experience the thrill of crossing the Minjiang River

 · Temple of Li Bing: Memorial temple honoring the father and son engineers

Evening: Return to Chengdu

16:00-17:30 Return to Chengdu

· Drive back to Chengdu

· You will be dropped off at your hotel or a designated location in the city

· End the meaningful and fulfilling one-day tour
